Rupandehi, May 13: Chief Minister of State-5, Shankar Pokhrel, has stressed the need of coordination among all the three-tier governments for development and prosperity of the State. Addressing the second meeting of the State coordination council organised by Office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers in Butwal on Monday, Chief Minister Pokhrel said that result could be achieved if works are carried out on the basis of coordination and collaboration among the three levels of government. "State 5 is ahead on the basis of gross domestic product and economic growth rate despite different complexities", he said. The Chief Minister said that the State-5 became successful to gain achievements as development of the State has gained pace. He further said that although the State government has been facing problems due to centralized mentality of employees, it has now entered into a new phase of possibilities. There is need of around 3,000 human personnel in the State, while some 1,000 has been fulfilled through employees' adjustment. Similarly, Vice-Chair of State Planning Commission, Dr Prakash Kumar Shrestha, briefed the meeting about periodic plan of the state. Chairperson of National Natural Resources and Fiscal Commission, Balananda Poudel, presented a working paper on the issue of dimension of federalism and fiscal federalism. RSS
