Kathmandu, Apr. 23: CPN-UML Vice-Chairperson Bamdev Gautam has said the merger between UML and CPN (Maoist Centre) is taking place in near future.
He said this at an 'Ideal Couple Award and Honour' programme organized here today by Raute Near-Extinct Marginalized Group Up-lift Foundation.
Nepali people have granted unprecedented power to the two communist parties through the ballot, he said, adding that the power should be capitalized through unity. "The country would prosper if the present day power is best utilized to that end".
Vice-Chairperson Gautam asserted that Nepali Congress (NC) would re-emerge in next five years if the incumbent government failed to live up to the promises through performance.
On the occasion, Gautam honoured UML Vice-Chair Yubaraj Gyawali and Indu Gyawali, Bharatmohan Adhikari and Sabita Adhikari and Babarjung Thapa and Saraswoti Thapa as ideal couples. RSS
