New Delhi, Apr. 14: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump held a nearly 40-minute phone conversation, their first since the US-Iran ceasefire, news agency PTI reported.
The call took place against the backdrop of heightened tensions in West Asia following the collapse of US-Iran peace talks.
This marks the third conversation between the two leaders this year, and the second since the conflict in the region began after US and Israeli strikes on Iran on February 28. Earlier, the two spoke on February 2 to announce progress on a trade deal, and again on March 24 to discuss the situation in West Asia.-Agencies
