Kathmandu, Feb. 5: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has decided to leave the government. A joint meeting of central members and MPs of the party held on Sunday decided to quit the government.
After Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal took the stance of not giving the home ministry to RSP Chairman Rabi Lamichhane or any other MP of the party for that matter, the party decided to exit from the government.
But an RSP leader said that the support given to the current government will not be withdrawn. The RSP will hold a press conference shortly to publicize this decision.
Lamichhane, who was elected from Chitwan-2, lost his post after being found guilty in the citizenship case by the supreme Court.
