Kathmandu, Feb. 24: As Maha Shivaratri approaches, Naga Babas from various parts of Nepal, along with neighboring country India, have started arriving in Kathmandu.
On this occasion, the Naga Babas, along with their followers, entered the Pashupatinath Temple through the entrance gate number 1.
Among the four sects of yogis—Sannyasi, Vaishnav, Nanak, and Udasi—the Naga Sannyasis belong to the Sannyasi sect.
During Maha Shivaratri, Babas from these four sects typically gather at the Pashupatinath Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage site in Kathmandu.
As the Maha Shivaratri festival approaches, the number of devotees visiting the Pashupatinath Temple premises has been increasing.
The Pashupati Area Development Trust has intensified its preparations and management efforts for the festival.
