'Voting concludes peacefully except for some incidents'

Kathmandu, May 13: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has viewed that voting took place in an exciting way in the local level election held today.

This was the second local poll following the promulgation of the Constitution in 2015, the constitution of the federal democratic republic of Nepal.

In his press statement upon the completion of the poll, PM Deuba has mentioned that the excitement shown by the sovereign people for the poll has further verified the people's confidence in democracy.

The PM observed that the active participation of the people, support for the poll has further motivated the government and the political parties.

PM Deuba extended special thanks to the Election Commission for conducting the poll in a peaceful, free, fair, impartial and enabling manner.

He has also thanked the civil servants, security forces, observers, political parties and the people who participated in the election.

With 59 new cases Coronavirus national tally reaches 274,869

Kathmandu, Mar. 9: The Ministry of Health and Population confirmed 59 new cases of coronavirus on Tuesday.
