Kathmandu, Nov. 18: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) posted a double-digit rise on Tuesday, gaining 15.70 points or 0.61% to close at 2,566.07 points.
The Sensitive Index, which tracks Class 'A' stocks, increased by 0.60%, while the Float Index rose by 0.66%.
All sectoral indices ended the day in positive territory. The Hotels and Tourism sector led the gains with an increase of 1.28%, followed by Development Banks at 1.25%, and the Investment sector at 1.19%. No other sector recorded gains above 1%.
Market activity remained robust, with a daily turnover of Rs 4.10 billion generated from the exchange of 9,255,457 shares of 345 companies across 55,277 transactions.
By market close, the total market capitalization stood at Rs 4.308 trillion.
In stock-wise movement, 207 scrips advanced, 44 declined, and five remained unchanged.
Two companies - Sagar Distillery Limited (SAGAR) and Mabilung Energy Limited (MABEL) - hit the upper circuit limit during the session.
