New Delhi, Aug. 9: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke on the phone with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday. During the conversation, President Putin briefed Prime Minister Modi on the latest developments related to Russia-Ukraine war. Modi reiterated India’s consistent call for a peaceful resolution to the conflict through dialogue and diplomacy.
The two leaders also reviewed the progress of the bilateral agenda and reaffirmed their commitment to strengthen the Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership between India and Russia. Modi extended an invitation to President Putin to visit India later this year for the 23rd India-Russia Annual Summit.
Had a very good and detailed conversation with my friend President Putin. I thanked him for sharing the latest developments on Ukraine. We also reviewed the progress in our bilateral agenda, and reaffirmed our commitment to further deepen the India-Russia Special and Privileged.-Agencies
