Kathmandu, July 10: Marking the sacred occasion of Ashadha Purnima, the Embassy of India in Nepal organized a special prayer ceremony today, bringing together monks and representatives from the Theravada, Mahayana, and Vajrayana traditions of Buddhism.
The collective chanting and prayers from diverse Buddhist traditions created a spiritually rich atmosphere, reinforcing the deep-rooted civilizational, spiritual, and cultural bonds between India and Nepal—two nations profoundly connected through the legacy of Gautam Buddha.
Ashadha Purnima, also observed as Dharma Chakra Day, is a major event in the Buddhist calendar and has been celebrated as a day of reflection, wisdom, and unity among Buddhist traditions.
