New Delhi, Sept. 17: Celebrating his 75th birthday in Madhya Pradesh’s Dhar district, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said Wednesday Indian soldiers brought Pakistan to its knees in a blink of an eye as India was not scared of anyone’s nuclear threats and instead “enters the enemy’s home and strikes”.
While laying the foundation stone of the country’s first Pradhan Mantri Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel (PM MITRA) Park, Prime Minister Modi said there was a time when “terrorists from Pakistan tried to destroy the dignity of our mothers and sisters”.
“In response, through Operation Sindoor, we destroyed their terror bases. Our brave soldiers brought Pakistan to its knees in the blink of an eye,” Modi said.
Modi said India doesn’t fear anyone’s nuclear threats. “Just yesterday, the entire nation and the world witnessed a Pakistani terrorist break down in tears, admitting his condition. This is the new India. This is an India that does not fear anyone’s nuclear threats. This is an India that enters the enemy’s home and strikes,” Modi said.
Prime Minister Modi said the day marks another historic occasion “when the Indian Army freed Hyderabad from countless atrocities”.
“On this very day, the nation witnessed the steel-like willpower of Sardar Patel. It was the day when the Indian Army freed Hyderabad from countless atrocities, protected the rights of its people, and restored the pride of India. For decades, such a great achievement and the extraordinary courage of our soldiers went largely unremembered. But you have given me the opportunity to honour it. Our government has made sure that the events of 17th September, tied to Sardar Patel and Hyderabad, are immortalised,” Modi said.
The Hyderabad Liberation Day “inspires us with the reminder that nothing is greater than the honour and glory of Mother India,” PM Modi said.
“If we live, we must live for the nation, and every moment of our lives must be dedicated to the service of our country,” Modi added.
Prime Minister Modi also made a pitch for made in India products. “Whatever you buy should carry the sweat and hard work of an Indian. Whatever you bring home should carry the fragrance of the soil of our motherland. Today, I especially appeal to my trader brothers and sisters. Support me in this effort for the sake of the nation. Stand with me, because I am determined to see India become a developed country by 2047. The path to that goal lies through Atmanirbhar Bharat — a self-reliant India,” Modi said.-Agencies
