Four Nepalis among 13 killed in India train accident

New Delhi, Jan. 23: Four Nepalis were among 13 people killed in a tragic train accident in Jalgaon, Maharashtra, on Wednesday evening, confirmed the Embassy of Nepal in New Delhi. 

"We have learned that four Nepali nationals have died, and one is undergoing treatment. It is unclear if there are other Nepalis among the injured receiving medical care," said Surendra Thapa, Deputy Chief of Mission at the embassy. 

The Nepali victims identified are Kamala Nabin Bhandari, 43, Himu Nandram Bishwakarma, 11, Lachchiram Khataru Pasi, 40, and Javakala Bhate Jyakadi, 60, of Kamalbazar in Achham district.-Agencies

With 1,149 new cases Coronavirus national tally reaches 778,312

Kathmandu, Sept. 13: The Ministry of Health and Population informed 1,149 new cases of coronavirus on Monday. With this, the national coronavirus tally has reached 778,312.  According to the Ministry, 1,149 persons tested positive for the coronavirus at various labs across the country in the past 24 hours.
