Kathmandu, July 15: Nepali Congress MP Pushpa Bhushal Gautam has been elected as the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives.

Out of 242 members present in today's meeting of the House of Representatives, 148 were in her favor and she was elected as the Deputy Speaker by a majority. There were 93 votes against her.
