India’s Consulate General’s Office in Birgunj observes ‘Mission Life’ week

Kathmandu, July 29: India’s Consulate General’s Office in Birgunj organized a special week as part of ‘Mission Life’ announced by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Consul General Nitesh Kumar said that Mission Life was meant to support individual and community efforts to protect and promote the environment. Mission Life is a global movement led by India.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi introduced Mission Life to the world at the 26th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP 26) held in Glasgow in 2021.

Under Mission Life, the Consulate organized a panel discussion on Healthy Lifestyle within its premises on 20 June 2023.

Speaking on this occasion, participants including Dr. Niraj Kumar Singh and Dr. Notha Kumar Sharma (Deputy Secretary, Ministry of Social Development, Madhes Pradesh) presented their views on how individuals can modify their lifestyles for a healthy life.
