Kathmandu, Jul. 25: Head coach of national football team Abdullah Al Mutairi has announced to resign from the position.
He declared that he was resigning from the position of the head coach via his official Facebook page on Sunday.
"I am resigning because of senior vice-chairman of All Nepal Football Association (ANFA)," said Al Mutairi. He also alleged the ANFA vice-chairman for creating drama for the last three weeks.
Meanwhile, Kiran Rai, spokesperson at ANFA, said that the association had not received Al Mutairi's resignation yet. "However, discussions are being held regarding the head coach's declaration to resign," said Rai.
Al Mutairi was appointed as the head coach of the national football team during the first week of April for one year.
