Indian-origin data analyst killed after struck by bus at Boston airport

New York, Apr. 3: Indian-American data analyst was killed in an accident after a bus hit him at the Logan international airport in US’s Boston while he was waiting for his friend. The deceased, identified as Vishwachand Kolla, had gone to pick up a friend when the mishap happened.

Kolla was originally from Andhra Pradesh. He was working with Takeda Pharmaceutical Company. According to the reports, he was at the US Airport in Boston to pick up a visiting musician traveling to Boston when he met with an accident.

The 47-year-old Kolla, according to State Police spokesperson Dave Procopio, was standing on the driver’s side of his Acura Vehicle while the Dartmouth Transportation motor coach was simultaneously traveling on the roadway. Based on the investigation, Kolla was dragged along the driver’s side of his SUV until the middle of the bus made contact with him.

An off-duty rushed to the spot to help Kolla but he died on the spot. The 54-year-old woman was driving the bus. The police have inspected the bus and have not yet arrested the woman. The passengers were quickly rushed off the bus and their luggage was moved to another part of the airport.

Meanwhile, Kolla’s relatives have set up a gofundme page for USD 406,151 raised of the USD 750,000 goal. Kolla is survived by his wife and two sons.-Agencies
