Gold price rises by Rs 2,800; silver falls slightly

Kathmandu, Aug 23: The price of gold rose significantly in the Nepali market on Sunday, the first trading day of the week, while the price of silver declined slightly.

Accordind to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers Association, the price of hallmark gold increased by Rs. 2,800 per tola to Rs. 3,19,500 per tola on Sunday. 

Meanwhile, the price of silver fell by Rs. 10 to Rs. 4,975.
