Kathmandu, Aug. 24: Nepal’s share market continued to lose momentum on Monday, with the NEPSE index falling below the 2,600-point mark.
Investors in 229 companies saw their wealth decline, while shares of 47 companies gained. Among the biggest gainers were investors in Sarvottam Paints Industries, whose share price hit a positive circuit.
Meanwhile, investors in Panchakanya Mai Hydropower suffered the biggest loss, with the company’s share price falling 9.83 percent.
Trading activity also remained subdued. Shares worth a total of Rs 3.2397 billion changed hands during Monday’s session, indicating continued weakness in market activity.
