Kathmandu, Sept. 16: Interim Prime Minister Sushila Karki and the Indian Ambassador to Nepal, Naveen Srivastava, held a courtesy meeting on Tuesday.
Ambassador Srivastava met PM Karki at Singha Durbar on Tuesday afternoon, News Agency Nepal reported.
During the meeting, the Indian ambassador noted that India has always supported Nepal's progress and prosperity and reaffirmed the commitment to continue supporting Nepal's prosperity in the days to come. He also expressed India's commitment to assisting Nepal in its development and reconstruction efforts.
He said that India is in favor of peace, good governance, and stability in Nepal.
After the Gen Z movement led to the resignation of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli last week, Sushila Karki was appointed as the interim prime minister. The election for the House of Representatives has been scheduled for March 5, 2026.
