Inauguration of Adarsha Multiple Campus in Dhading built India's financial assistance

Kathmandu, June 27: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ inaugurated the campus building of Adarsha Multiple Campus, Gajuri Rural Municipality, Dhading on Monday. Other participants in the function were Shalik Ram Jamkattel, Chief Minister of Bagmati Province; Members of Parliament. Rajendra Prasad Pandey and Ramnath Adhikari and Karun Bansal, First Secretary, Embassy of India, Kathmandu. The social workers and political representatives, officials of Nepal Government and local community leaders were also present on this occasion. The campus has been built with Government of India’s financial assistance of NRs.41.20 million. 

 The project was taken up as a High Impact Community Development Project (HICDP) under ‘Nepal-India Development Cooperation’. The grant assistance under has been utilized for the construction of a two storied campus building with class rooms,  library rooms, meeting hall, office rooms and provision for electricity and sanitation facilities etc. for the campus. The project was implemented by District Coordination Committee, Dhading. 

 Prime Minister, in his remarks, appreciated the support by Government of India in augmenting the development infrastructure in Nepal. He also mentioned that his recent visit to India was historic and successful, resulting in making further movements towards the economic development of Nepal. 

 Adarsha Multiple Campus was established in 2006. This campus is affiliated to Tribhuvan University and has over 236 students, about 85% of whom are girls and students are mainly from under-privileged groups live in surrounding 18 villages. 

 India has taken up over 544 HICDPs in Nepal and has already completed 480 projects with remaining under various stage of completion / implementation. Amongst these, 105 Projects are in Bagmati Pradesh including 5 projects in Dhading District of which 2 projects are ongoing. In addition to these, Government of India has gifted 940 ambulances and 184 school buses to various hospitals, health posts and educational institutions in Nepal. Amongst these, 14 ambulances and 2 School Buses in Dhading, till date, including one School bus provided to this Campus in 2018. 

 The project is a reflection of India’s development partnership with Nepal and complements effort of Government of Nepal in augmenting infrastructure in the field of education.

With this, the national coronavirus tally has reached 775,548.  According to the Ministry, 961 persons tested positive for the coronavirus at various labs across the country in the past 24 hours.

With 777 new cases Coronavirus national tally reaches 776,325

Kathmandu, Sept. 11: The Ministry of Health and Population informed 777 new cases of coronavirus on Saturday. With this, the national coronavirus tally has reached 776,325.  According to the Ministry, 777 persons tested positive for the coronavirus at various labs across the country in the past 24 hours.

With 838 new cases Coronavirus national tally reaches 777,163

Kathmandu, Sept. 12: The Ministry of Health and Population informed 838 new cases of coronavirus on Sunday. With this, the national coronavirus tally has reached 777,163.  According to the Ministry, 838 persons tested positive for the coronavirus at various labs across the country in the past 24 hours.

With 1,149 new cases Coronavirus national tally reaches 778,312

Kathmandu, Sept. 13: The Ministry of Health and Population informed 1,149 new cases of coronavirus on Monday. With this, the national coronavirus tally has reached 778,312.  According to the Ministry, 1,149 persons tested positive for the coronavirus at various labs across the country in the past 24 hours.
