Kathmandu, Aug. 9: The Supreme Court has rejected issuing an interim order on the writ petition which demanded nullifying unity of the Janata Samajwadi Party.
A joint bench of justices Dr. Ananda Mohan Bhattarai and Sushmalata Mathema on Monday rejected the demand to issue interim order as sought in the writ petition seeking nullification of the unity between the then Rastriya Janata Party and Samajwadi Party and the formation of the JSP.
Raj Kumar Thapa had filed the writ petition in the SC. On July 14, the single bench of Justice Kumar Regmi had sought the written response from the respondents of the case and had called both the parties for further discussion on whether interim order as demanded should be issued or not.
