Lumbini Province Chief calls for claim from aspiring lawmaker for CM post

Butwal, Aug. 11: Lumbini Province Chief Amik Sherchan has called on the member of the Provincial Assembly who can garner majority with the support from two or more political parties to present a claim for the post of Chief Minister of the province as per Article 168 (2) of the constitution.

The province chief has asked the aspiring Chief Minister to submit the claim by 3 pm tomorrow.

The call of the province chief comes following approval of the resignation submitted by Shankar Pokharel from the post of Chief Minister today.
