New Delhi, Sept. 15: Afghanistan, more than the Indo-Pacific, may occupy centre stage at the first-ever in-person Quad summit to be hosted by US President Joe Biden on September 24. Indian PM Narendra Modi will participate along with PMs of Japan and Australia.

The meet will review progress made since the first virtual summit on March 12 and discuss regional issues of shared interests, said an Indian Ministry of External Affairs statement.

The summit will take place a day before PM Modi will address the high-level segment of the UN General Assembly that begins on Wednesday. -Agencies
